U.K's "Baby of the House", the youngest M.P. ex-JW Sam Carling.
by Phizzy ini thought this admirable young man deserved a mention in a topic of its own, , especially as he has tabled three amendments to a bill going through parliament, his amendments will tighten mandatory reporting, and stop j.w's avoiding doing so !.
in his speech, being an ex j.w., he highlighted the devious way the j.w's get out of reporting abuse, and cover the whole thing up.
he also called the j.w org.

Few JW leader have children
by slimboyfat init’s been discussed before that few jw leaders, past and present, have had children.
this is in contrast with other groups, such as the mormons, whose leaders have had a lot of children.
i wonder if this has impacted jw growth.

Guy Pierce:- Our brother and dear friend is survived by his wife and six children, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. WT14 12/15 p.3
As I recall he was married twice, acrimonious divorce. I think he mentioned in an article on marriage that he had kids from both marriages living with them.

Where is Tony?
by Athanasius inon february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.
a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.
in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

(typically married couples purchase property with both names).
AMIII and his wife did not buy the property. Both the properties on that road were bought by the WT Society and the Morris's get to live there while ever either or both of them are alive.

Many, many years ago, an elder told me that after Armageddon he would be one of those putting the markers by the bones. Quite a nice job, drive around in some sporty car with a boot full of markers, have a long leisurely pub lunch and do a few more in the afternoon.
As for me, a waster who turned in a fraction of the hours that he did, would be on burial duty. I would have to walk from marker to marker and take a packed lunch with me.
He had great imagination!

Anthony Morris III. It was a GB video, as I recall he was rather graphic in his descriptions. Hot dogs? Did he not suggest Jehovah may use "anti-matter" to clear up the mess?
The announcement of his departure was 22 February 2023 so it would be before this date.

Remember Hour Quotas?

back in the old days long before 1952.
“after staying in our ‘home’ for two days we decided that if we were going to meet our quota of 140 hours for the month.

I may be old but I don't go back to 1943!
My memories are from the 1950's and 60's. At that time, Special Pioneers were expected to do 150 hours, Regular and Vacation Pioneers 100 hours and Publishers 12 hours.
It should be remembered that all magazines and literature was paid for at this time. There were three rates for a magazine, 3d for a Publisher, 1d for a Pioneer and 1/2d for a Special Pioneer. The Public paid 4d so there was a small "shoe leather" profit.
Accounting was a nightmare. There was a magazine sheet for each of the three rates. At the end of the month the Accounts Servant would pay the Society 3d for every magazine they had received but would claim "credit" for every magazine supplied to Pioneers and Special Pioneers. Congregations could receive +/- 10 magazines difference to the order number without contacting the Society.
The literature department was run exactly the same. Don't forget here in the UK we were on £sd, pre decimal and calculators had not been invented. The best we had was a "Ready Reckoner", a book of tables of prices.
As Special Pioneers did not have secular work but received an allowance from the Society they were soon in trouble if they failed to meet their goals!

Who will Survive Armageddon?

are jehovah's witnesses the only ones to be saved during the end time?.

just supposing armageddon is just a load of nonsense ?
I don't think Armageddon will ever come but if it did, my greatest worry is that I may just survive. Just imagine living forever with only JW's on earth. That's not paradise, that's hell on earth!

I think the OP is thinking of the way WT pushed radium as a beneficial health product, back in JFR's days. One quote I found:-
As we know Radium is an extremely harmful radioactive substance. The “Radio-Solar Pad” was basically a pad containing radioactive radium which you simply strapped to your back. Its makers claimed
"radio-activity is further increased by exposing the pad to sunlight" and "when applied to the body, the pad immediately begins to discharge this energy into the system, sending the life giving current through the blood and nervous system."
As this was endorsed by the President of the Watchtower, Judge Rutherford, it can only be assumed that he would have received some kind of personal payment.
How many Jehovah Witnesses got cancer after wearing this device? Please see Blood Guilt
JFR was prone to jump on all manner of quack science and write about it. The "Water Canopy" is another example, from Isaac Newton Vale, another quack.

It’s now official - The Governing Body Members are called for Legal Deposition in a Major Court Case Against Jehovah’s Witnesses!
by liam init’s now official - the governing body members are called for legal deposition in a major court case against jehovah’s witnesses!
https://www.reddit.com/r/exjw/comments/1ke6cgh/its_now_official_the_governing_body_members_are/.
recent court documents show that members of the jehovah’s witnesses governing body — including former member tony morris — have been officially subpoenaed to give sworn testimony regarding cases of sexual abuse in new york and how the organization dealt with (or essentially hid) them.

I doubt the GB will end up in prison. Any possibility of that and they would move en masse to Buenos Aries and rule from there. I'm sure preparations and funds have been in place ever since they had the new Bethel built there.
